Summer is here, and it’s the perfect time for refreshing, cool treats like homemade fruit popsicles. Packed with natural sweetness and nutrients, they’re a fantastic way to help your kids stay healthy while enjoying a delicious snack. In this post, we’ll share a simple recipe to make your own fruit popsicles at home, with no added sugar.
Ingredients
- 2 cups of your favorite fruits (fresh or frozen)
- 1 cup of unsweetened yogurt, coconut milk, or fruit juice
- Optional: 1-2 tablespoons of honey or agave syrup for added sweetness
Instructions
- Choose your fruits. You can use any combination of fruits you like, such as strawberries, blueberries, bananas, mangoes, or pineapples. Fresh fruit is ideal, but frozen fruit works too.
- Blend the ingredients. In a blender or food processor, combine the fruit, yogurt (or coconut milk/fruit juice), and optional sweetener. Blend until smooth and creamy.
- Pour into popsicle molds. Carefully pour the mixture into your popsicle molds, leaving a little space at the top to allow for expansion as the popsicles freeze. Insert the popsicle sticks.
- Freeze. Place the popsicle molds in the freezer for at least 4-6 hours, or until completely frozen.
- Enjoy! To remove the popsicles from the molds, run warm water over the bottom of the molds for a few seconds, then gently pull the popsicles out.
These homemade fruit popsicles are a great way to encourage your kids to eat more fruits while enjoying a sweet and refreshing treat. You can even involve your kids in the process by letting them choose their favorite fruit combinations and helping with the blending and pouring. It’s a fun and healthy family activity that everyone can enjoy!
